DTP Operator (Retail Experience)

The successful candidate must be able to take a brief from CS or CD and produce MTN layouts (usually from CI templates) but with some design ability and flare, to print ready stage.

‍

• The candidate should be able to take completed layouts from Art Directors and ‘DTP’ them to make print ready.
• They should be able to liaise with printers and have a full understanding of print terminology so as to be able to supply anything that the printers may need.
• They should have a strong understanding of what makes a layout print ready, including trim, colour knock-out or overprint, checking image suitability, DPI etc.
• An ability to do retouching would be an advantage.
• They must, most of all, be a team player and their priority should be meeting deadlines with accuracy the first time.
